Last day at the Oregon beach. I leave tomorrow. It has been such a relaxing time. It is time to get back to reality in Salem, Oregon.

It also important to get some. “down,” time in our lives. We don’t realize how much is building up in our minds at times.

We need time to think and clear out our thinking.

____________________________________________________________________________________

Have you been there? Have you felt overloaded with the world? You certainly are not alone.

If so, it is time to regroup:

  1. Go somewhere relax and just vegetate.
  2. Flush out all the garbage in your head.
  3. Take inventory on what caused all the turmoil.
  4. Began the new you, and survive.

___________________________________________________________________________________

Never forget that God is there for you. He will never forsake you or abandon you. Pray for His protection and guidance. Never take on this unfriendly world alone.

I have been fighting with myself lately. I have trouble with the war in Ukraine. I feel deep sadness for the people of Ukraine. They are being slaughtered for no good reason. Russia is raping is also the women.

In my opinion war crimes are rampant there. There should be a tribunal checking it out.

That doesn’t help me at all, because you can’t bring the people back.

Still remodeling at my home here. The kitchen has new wooden floors that look beautiful. On Friday there will be new carpeting in the den.

Then of course we have to put everything back. I am surrounded with furniture as I sit here typing.

______________________________________________________________________________

Have you had disruption knock on your door? Did it stay like those long lost relatives?

FEAR NOT! Storms come, and they go away. Stay strong and weather those storms.

Sometimes we get dealt lemons in our lives. We just need to adjust and overcome them.

Has been busy the last few days. We had to move everything out of our kitchen, and den. I mean everything. Refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, TV and console, Had my family come over to move it all, and I am looking at a living room stacked high with extra furniture.

We are having hard wood floors being put in the kitchen area, and a new carpet in the den. It will look beautiful when it is all done, but then you have to put everything back!

Pretty hectic, but worth it. Have you had disruption come into your life. Did things happen you didn’t expect?

It happens to all of us. One day peace, the next day, chaos. We need to adjust and hang on for dear life. Thoughts on this:

  1. Storms come, but they leave eventually.
  2. Always be prepared for things to happen, because they will.
  3. Always know that God is there for you. He knows you problems. Pray for His protection and love.

Do you ever get tired of the daily frustrations? I sure do. Wouldn’t life be great if we could wear rose colored glasses?

It seems like we face more walls than clear paths. Everything seems to be a struggle.

Now that I have torn you down terribly, let me share how I make it through each day to fight all of the above:

  1. Never let day get to you. Each day has it ups and down. Go with the flow.
  2. Go for walks every day. That seems to clear my mind, and gives me fresh air.
  3. Sit down and read a book. The Bible is a good one to read.
  4. Remember, God is with you always. He walks with you on your walks. He speaks to you through the Bible. He guides you on your paths.

I try to be upbeat all the time. Yes, it is hard sometimes, but when you are always upbeat it rubs off on others.

It is much easier to smile than to try to have a frown all day.

Face your storms head on. Never back down.

I can truthfully say that I am over COVID. I can say I am 95% better. I just have bouts with fatigue now and then.

It was a huge struggle. It took almost the whole month of July to get over it.

My last post I talked about bitterness. How it can ruin our lives. Well, I have some thoughts on other demons that can destroy us. Let’s compare them to what we should be like:

  1. Bitterness-happiness
  2. angry-joyful
  3. Sad-thankful
  4. disappointed-glad
  5. bad self image-love yourself
  6. Lost-found

______________________________________________

This list can go on and you can add to it if you want. But, you can see we have choices in our lives. We can either self-destruct or give praises.

Which choice to see for yourself above?

If you can’t choice the second choice on all of them, take inventory and see why. Ask God to help you through your storms and hurts. He is there for you 24/7.

Another thought for today:

Take the im off of impossible and everything is possible.

Some of you have been betrayed, and you feel bitter. You aren’t alone. I have been there myself. You think you are a victim. We want to know how we can get justice. We live with resentment, which is recalling the event.

_____________________________________________

Don’t sit there and lick your wounds. Get up and praise God for the day!

  1. Make sure that no one misses your grace.
  2. Make sure no bitter roots spring up.
  3. Make sure that no one is immoral, or worshiping other gods.

We have to be careful, because the seeds of bitterness makes us by-pass the cross. The seed of bitterness hurts us. Bitterness harbors hostility. There is devastation with bitterness.

People who are bitter:

  1. Are very sensitive.
  2. Have no gratitude.
  3. Harshly criticizes others.
  4. Hold grudges.
  5. Have mood swings.

So how do we get rid of bitterness?

  1. Repent and confess before God. Open your heart.
  2. Focus on God’s grace towards you.
  3. Replace your bitterness with the pursuit of holiness.

It is time to whine again. I bet you love it. LOL

I got the COVID-19 virus on July3rd. I battled with it, and came out of it OK, But then I was hit with Post COVID-19! I am still feeling the affects of that today. All the symptoms are gone except for the severe exhaustion, and weakness.

I get up in the morning feeling somewhat good, and by the afternoon I am wiped out.

There have been some serious happenings because of the virus. I seemed to have lost hearing out of my left ear. I went to a ENT, and he said that I did. He said the virus caused it. He also thinks that maybe he can get my hearing back with treatment. We will see there.

Then I had some blood tests and my iron count was out of sight. The normal high is 306. My blood test showed 766. That’s more than double the highest allowed. I see my primary doctor in an hour to see what we can do for that.

Have you had some serious health issues attack you? Do you wonder why you are getting so many ailments? I certainly hear you.

____________________________________________

We all have to understand that we are not alone. God is with us every step of the way. He cares for us and He is just a prayer away. We need to ask for His protection, and to give us hope.

We shouldn’t give into the the darkside. Look for the light of Jesus, and give all your worries over to Him.

I am slowly getting my strength back from a bout with COVID. It has been a battle, but the last of the symptoms seem to be going away.

_____________________________________________

The temperature has been sky rocketing the last few days. It was 101 yesterday, and it will be 99 today. Not a good day to run a race. At the moment our AC is working great and that is a relief.

_____________________________________________

What has your days been like? Are you also sweltering in the heat? Most of the country is.

I wonder what we can do during this time of overwhelming heat.

  1. Drink lots of liquid. This is a very high time for getting dehydrated.
  2. Wear loose and light clothing. Let the air penetrate your clothing.
  3. Stay inside as much as possible. If you have to go somewhere, make sure there is air-conditioning where you are going.

_________________________________________

I have also been struggling weakness in my legs. I have to use a walker now to get around. It isn’t fun, but I like the security I have when I try to walk. Do you also have some things you are struggling with? Do you need help? You certainly not alone.

__________________________________________

If you need help ask for it. Do not hide your discomfort. People would love to help you that love you.

Remember that God is with you 24/7. He loves you and made you in His own image. He would do that for no reason. He wants what is best for you. Pray for His protection and love and He will deliver it to you.

I have been missing for almost two weeks. On July 3rd, I came with the COVID virus. It was tough for three days and then I started doing better. Then on July 12th my family left for Hawaii. It was very hard for me, because I had to use a walker, and some of the walks were pretty hard on me.

Freedom is something we all want to have, but what is freedom?

Dictionary.com says:

  1. The state of being free, or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint.
  2. Exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc.

It is clear that we want all of that.

Do you feel like you have full freedom? We won’t have true freedom until we let God guide us on our paths.

We all have the power to do what we ought to through God.

Something that is difficult to understand for some is that the Holy Spirit is inside you once you accept the Lord. With the Holy Spirit in us, we can fight off the darkside. God’s love shines when all else fails.

We need to know that sometimes God allows pain and suffering in us. He doesn’t cause it, He allows it and Helps us through it.

Think of each of us as wine. In the crushing and pressing we are made into new wine.

_____________________________________________

Never let Satan overcome you. Let the Holy Spirit guide you through the storms.
