Got some bad news this morning. My beautiful wife has COVID. She is not well. Prayers would be appreciated.

Been following the war in Ukraine Is Putin deranged? YES! He is fighting a losing war. He has been defeated in several areas of Ukraine, and yet he still is letting Russian men die.

He needs to disappear. Any way we make that happen would be fine.

The counteroffensive is going well. Time for Putin to grow up and negotiate.

I have come up with a new plan for my bad hip. My primary doctor referred me to a pain maintenance clinic. If they can somehow help me with the pain, I will pass on the surgery. I will keep you posted.

Have you been struggling with an affliction. I feel our pain. It is easy to ask WHY ME!! God has allowed your pain, and you are not sure if you like at all.

Cry out to God to give you peace and relieve the pain. He listens to you even when you are angry. I am using my affliction to reach out to others who are suffering.

Maybe you should try doing the same.

This old guy is really suffering with pain right now. That is why my posting is not consistent. I have arthritis in my right hip area, and the pain is increasing everyday.

I can hardly walk, and the pain is really bad when I try.

Going to see my doctor tomorrow morning to see what we can do.

Have you had struggles with you health lately? Have your days been filled with pain? I certainly can relate to that!

What can we do to overcome the pain and agony?

This is not an easy question to answer. Of course going to a doctor would be an obvious choice, But what if they say it will take several weeks to do the procedure?

The pain will be knocking at your door and won’t leave.

My only advice to turn all your pain over to God. He knows what you are going through He Knows your pain. “Talk” to Him asking Him to relieve your pain. Lean on Him for comfort and peace.

Above all…never, ever, give up!

Things are getting dicey in our country. There is an even divide in our country of far left liberals, and far right conservatives. This is causing strive to our country. Some say there may even be a civil war.

It is sad to see so many people angry and steadfast in their political beliefs. We must understand that we are ONE country and should do everything to unify.

I have been having health issues lately. I mean I have been seeing doctors almost every day. Not fun, but I am strong in believing God will take care of me. He knows my aliments, He knows my needs. He loves me, and will be there for me.

How about you? Are you battling ailments daily? Do you wonder if God cares? Of course He does. he made you in His own image. The cows aren’t in His image. The birds are not in his image. Only you are.

Be faithful and He will protect you.

6 Ways to Cope in This Not So Friendly World

I am going to concentrate on you and I today and not the rest of the world. There is just too much turmoil to deal with out there.

Why do we get sucked into fear? Why have we allowed negative thoughts to enter our minds?

This is something we need to deal with. We need to look at the days in a different way.

Here is what I am trying to do to cope in this not so friendly world:

  1. You have heard that we need to live one day at a time. Well, in this day and age we have to live one minute at a time.
  2. Stop watching the worldly news.
  3. Concentrate on your family and friends.
  4. Go for long walks, and do not think of anything negative. You will come home refreshed.
  5. Read positive books. The Bible is a good start.
  6. Never say, “There was nothing I could do.” There is always something you could do.

Of course, we always need to lean on God for His help. He is there for us wherever we are and even knows the hairs on our head. Lean on Him for strength.

It is the new year. A new beginning, and we need to forget the negatives from the past.

Have you planned your new year? Are there things you want to change? I have a long list of I want to do. I know I will not be able to do them all. I made the list very long to push me hard.

The first thing on my list is to read the Bible again. I have done it several times, and I have always learned something new everytime I do.

I remember back when we didn’t have cell phones. It was very hard to get help when you were stuck on the road, and had a flat tire. You had to walk to the nearest phone booth and call for help.

No communication!

Think about this…God’s Word to us will never go away. Not even technology can get rid of God’s words.

God speaks to us through His Word. Are you listening?

This year we ALL need to feed on, delight in, learn from, grow by, stand upon the unchanging life, transforming Word of God.

To truly know God, we must know His word.

God spoke, and it was written down by Moses, the prophets, and disciples. God’s Word is pure trustworthy, and each Word will guide your life.

Being Gracious to Those Around us Should be a Priority

I can’t help but grieve for the Gold Star families that saw the 13 heroes come from the war in Afghanistan.

They were very upset and furious as to how the things turn out with evacuations. It shouldn’t have happened that way.

Got a pleasant surprise yesterday in the mail from a friend. We received a box from Harry and David’s full of goodies. I am eating the popcorn now as I type. She is a very gracious lady and friend.

This is what we need more of in our world. Gracious people who are reaching out to others. What a difference that would make.

God is very gracious as well. He sent His only Son down to earth to take care of all of our sins. we have eternal life, by God’s graciousness.

Have you been gracious to those around you? Have you made a phone call to that friend who lost their spouse recently? Have you help volunteer for a worth while charity? Do you reach out to your own loved ones, often?

Think about that. Do you need to take an inventory of your life to see if you are gracious enough?

Try to concentrate about reach out to everyone around you. The world would be a different place if we all did.

I have had a busy day. Went to Physical Therapy this morning. I have been working on my two blogs this afternoon, and then I have a doctor’s appointment at 3:30pm. No rest for the wicked they say.

I have had the blessing to be somehow connected with a SFC soldier that is in Kabul, Afghanistan. She is in dire straits. They city is surrounded with Taliban. They figure the city will fall win the next 30 days.

Can’t find out why she is still there, but I am praying what they get her our soon. If the city falls, she will probably big harms way. The Taliban have no mercy. I will keep you posted how things are going for her.

With all the horrible things that are happening around us, it is difficult to face the day. The pandemic is much worse now that when it started. Many people dying. I am repeating this, but I think it needs to be shared again.

In two of the bigger cities in the United States, there are many deaths, and in one city, 95% of those who died were unvaccinated. In the other city it was 94%.
A clear picture that we should ALL get vaccinated. If not, you most likely could die.

My post so far hasn’t been too cheery, but I thought I needed to share some important things.

Have you found that your day isn’t very cheery either? Does the day seem long and the storms seem to be coming in your life?

FEAR NOT! That is the shortest verse in the Bible spoken by Jesus, and He means it.

He is there to see you though those storms that are coming. He will hold you hand, and protect you.

I pray to Him every day to help me to be more like Him. I tell Him, “You are the most loving, caring, and compassionate man I know. Please guide me, show me, and let me know how I can be more like you.”

I pray that each and every night. Please know that he listens to your cries for help.

Well, this old man is having issues again. My blood pressure is dropped big time. 105-59 is pretty low. Any time my blood pressure drops below 110, I seem to be in trouble. I see my cardiologist this afternoon.

Well you come to my pity party??? 🙂

What do you binge on?

  1. Eating?
  2. Chocolate?
  3. Shopping?
  4. Fishing?
  5. Netflix?

My binge is ice cream. I have never seen a flavor I didn’t like.

Binging can certainly cause problems and yes, we need to control them. You first. 🙂

Things I have learned this last week:

  1. You don’t have justice if you don’t have truth. This is sooo happening in our world today.
  2. The first order of love is that they are human beings. So many treat others like they aren’t worth of love.
  3. If you love someone tell them often.
  4. Be kind to everyone and it will be returned.
  5. Never turn your back on someone in need.

People Are Persecuting Christians for Their Beliefs

Finally it has been announced that the Afghan interpreters will be lifted out of their country and brought to America. I hear there are some who did their applications wrong and may be stuck.

Got to save every last one of them They served us and were in harms way just like our soldiers.

President Biden wants 6 Trillion dollars to do his infrastructure work. Please be sure to read the bill when it is ready. Very little actually goes for infrastructure. There are many little things congressmen wanted for their home states.

I have had a pleasant day so far today. The weather is beautiful, and I am relaxing by doing this post for you.

My cardiologist prescribed a new medication for me to try to stop my shortness of breath. It is called, Entresto. I have been trying since July 12th and it seems to do working. Thank you Lord!!

I have less shortness of breath, and that makes a world of difference.

I am wondering what we as Christians have to do to be accepted by others. We do nothing wrong to them, and we even pray for them.

They still condemn us for our beliefs. They still persecute us.

The things I think of may help us fight back:

  1. Know that we are right in what we are doing.
  2. We are doing God’s plan.
  3. God knows what is happening to us, and will protect us.
  4. Never let the dark side convince you into thinking you are worthless, because God made you is His own image.

You don’t Need to Lose the Battle With Satan

I have been having many questions growing in my brain lately. I tried to find some answers.

Satan is working full time trying to convince you that God isn’t important. He would love it if you believed his lies.

I looked in the Bible for answers to him:

  1. The Lord is my safety, security, and protection.
  2. He will hear your voice, and your prayers will reach his ears.
  3. God is for me not against me, like Satan is.
  4. God shows up when you need him.
  5. He is my stronghold in time of trouble.
  6. He rescued me. He is rescuing me. He will rescue me.
  7. God’s way is perfect.

With all that on my side of the line who can be against me. NO ONE!!
