Today I am going to share some quotes I have picked up over the years for you to ponder:

  1. What do I do if a problem comes to me? Nothing! I need to go to God and pray.
  2. Do I think more about myself, or do I think more about God?
  3. God has abundant blessings for us, but the power of Satan is against us.
  4. How much Time do I spend reading God’s Word. Not nearly enough.
  5. A tea cup sitting along a coast line can be filled with water when a wave comes in. But just think how much water there in the ocean. That is how much love God has for us.
  6. Flee the bad things, and seek the righteous ones.
  7. Not everyone in your church is pleasant.
  8. How has God worked in unseen ways in me? What work has He prepared me for?
  9. We need to reach out to those with afflictions to show them ways to rid themselves from them.
  10. What work does God want me to do? What excuses do I use to not do them?
  11. I love my children and my grandchildren, but they are loved much more by God.
  12. There are billions of ways to be wrong, but only one way to be right.
  13. God does not make robots, but we become robots because we program our minds to walk down the path that heads away from God.
  14. We need to set a day aside to worship God through prayers, devotions, and reading the Bible.
  15. God is everywhere. You can be with God when you fish, travel, lie in bed, but to worship Him we should be in His Holy House to worship Him with others.
  16. Pagans can be very religious, but not follow the true God.
  17. There is no such things as a metaphor about same sex marriage from Genesis to Revelations.
  18. In the olden times one goat is sacrificed, and the other is the “Scape Goat,” who is released into the desert.
  19. Satan loves to nip away at us until we are beaten down, and our faith is fading way.
  20. Every person has an assignment from God.

Has been busy the last few days. We had to move everything out of our kitchen, and den. I mean everything. Refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, TV and console, Had my family come over to move it all, and I am looking at a living room stacked high with extra furniture.

We are having hard wood floors being put in the kitchen area, and a new carpet in the den. It will look beautiful when it is all done, but then you have to put everything back!

Pretty hectic, but worth it. Have you had disruption come into your life. Did things happen you didn’t expect?

It happens to all of us. One day peace, the next day, chaos. We need to adjust and hang on for dear life. Thoughts on this:

  1. Storms come, but they leave eventually.
  2. Always be prepared for things to happen, because they will.
  3. Always know that God is there for you. He knows you problems. Pray for His protection and love.

Take Care of Yourself During the Tremendously Heat

I am slowly getting my strength back from a bout with COVID. It has been a battle, but the last of the symptoms seem to be going away.

The temperature has been sky rocketing the last few days. It was 101 yesterday, and it will be 99 today. Not a good day to run a race. At the moment our AC is working great and that is a relief.

_____________________________________________

What has your days been like? Are you also sweltering in the heat? Most of the country is.

I wonder what we can do during this time of overwhelming heat.

  1. Drink lots of liquid. This is a very high time for getting dehydrated.
  2. Wear loose and light clothing. Let the air penetrate your clothing.
  3. Stay inside as much as possible. If you have to go somewhere, make sure there is air-conditioning where you are going.

I have also been struggling weakness in my legs. I have to use a walker now to get around. It isn’t fun, but I like the security I have when I try to walk. Do you also have some things you are struggling with? Do you need help? You certainly not alone.

If you need help ask for it. Do not hide your discomfort. People would love to help you that love you.

Remember that God is with you 24/7. He loves you and made you in His own image. He would do that for no reason. He wants what is best for you. Pray for His protection and love and He will deliver it to you.

I Didn’t Know That Botox Can Wipe Out Physical Pain

Going to have Botox done in a couple of hours. No, not for beauty, but for a tremor in my left hand. They can now use Botox to calm your tremors to where there isn’t much happening.

Have you needed some special type of treatment to help you survive? Have you had doctors or even friends suggest many things you can do and none of them work?

This is happening to many people these days.

I suggest you pray about this is it is happening to you. God listens and He cares. He can perform miracles for even the smallest thing.

If Jesus can heal everyone for any affliction they have, you know that it can done for you too.

Don’t be shy. Cry out to God and he will take action. It may not be the solution you were looking for, but God knows what is best for each of us.

Suffering is a part of life. Some have more suffering than others. I see so many people I wish I could help in some way to ease their pain, but God knows everything that is going on and deals with suffering.

So, be strong and face the storms of life. God will guide you through them.

What is there to talk about? I should say what isn’t there to talk about?

There is so much happening in our world today, it is hard to keep up.

  1. Inflation is eating up our pocket books. Inflation has risen higher this year than since 1980.
  2. Gas prices are also eating up our pocket books. Biden is blaming it on Putin, and yet the prices were way up before the war even started.
  3. The pandemic doesn’t seem to want to go away.
  4. The war in Ukraine is devastating with hundreds of thousands of civilians dead.

It is hard, at best, to face our world today. We need to hunker down, and depend on God to see us through this storm.

Yes, He is allowing it to happen, because He gave man free choice way back to the garden of Eden. People who just want tons of power are causing much of what is going on.

I understand how hard it is. I hear your pleas. We just need to pray, and pray without ceasing. God listens.

A Pregnant Woman and Her Unborn Son Was Killed in a Bombing in Ukraine

The events in Ukraine are very frightening. Today I heard that a pregnant mother and her unborn child died, because Russia bombed the maternity hospital.

That is a war crime!!

Putin is a mad man who is very desperate. He has to win now because of the embarrassment of not winning his war yet. Desperate people do desperate things. We need to keep the Ukraine people in our prayers every day.

Mean while back in our own country, things at not well at all. Millions are crossing the southern border. The Dictators of four different countries to pushing hard, because they don’t think our leaders will do anything. Inflation is eating up all of our money, and at the gas pump we can hardly afford to drive.

What is wrong with this picture??

We as Christians, must unite in prayer. Pray without ceasing. I always say that God is in charge, because that is true. We need to send pleas to Him for protection of our nation, and the whole world.

My take on the Ukraine war.…

Russia has lost over 9,000 soldiers in this war. Russian Convoys are stranded because they are out of gas. Tanks are stuck in the mud. Warriors from many other nations are volunteering to help fight with the Ukrainians. Many Russian soldiers are giving up, because they are hungry, and didn’t want to fight in this war.

One Ukrainian pilot personally shot down 6 Russian airplanes.

Please understand that because of the mass numbers of Russian military, (138,000) it looks hopeless for the Ukrainian people.

They need our prayers.

I am not feeling all that well today. My back has erupted, and I seem exhausted even after I thought I had a good nights sleep.

Have you had one of those kind of days yourself? Has the turmoil of our world caused your anxiety to skyrocket? I certainly hear you.

I try to remain positive around people. People I talk to need to hear positive things. Smile at them. It is contagious, and you will probably make their day.

God hears our prayers, so pray without ceasing. Pray for protection. Pray for peace. Pray our government will make good choices. They are many other things to pray for, so make up your own list.

It was a wild week last week. The war in Ukraine started and the whole world is saddened. Putin has become the latest dictator to bite off more than he can chew. There also rumors of other wars through out the world.

______________________________________________

We all dread the thought of war. There are no winners in a war. I spent time in Korea back in 1960 as a soldier. That was not long after the cease fire. I survived, but I feel for our current military, because of the powder keg ready to explode in many places all around the world.

How do we face this threat every day? What can we do to help?

  1. Pray!!! Pray for God’s wisdom, in all of these scary spots.
  2. Support our troops all that you can.
  3. If you have a member in the family in the military, let us know so we can pray specificity for that person.
  4. If you are a U.S. citizen, thank God for that, and be praising Him.
  5. Send emails to soldiers to show your support for them.

At yesterday’s church service the topic was about being disabled for 38 years of your life and then having Jesus come by and heal you. Can you imagine have 38 years of pain, and suddenly it is all gone?

God can do that in our lives today. Miracles happen everyday. Never give up. If your are struggling, pray without ceasing. God is there to listen.

People Think They Are on a Treadmill Going Nowhere

I am sure most of you have been on a treadmill. Isn’t it interesting that you never get anywhere? You are just at one spot walking as fast as you can. Seems senseless right. Wrong. You are achieving better health and stamina.

It seems like we are in one spot treading to nowhere in our lives. Can’t seem to move forward and achieve what we want out of life.

If you have been there do not get discouraged. Remember, GOD IS CHARGE!

He knows what you need and don’t need. He knows what is best for you even though you would like something else. God will guide you and show you to the right choices.

I learned to delight in God’s Word. What He says has been recorded. What He says has been preserved. We need to live by his word. God’s word is food for our soul.

I have prayed and asked God to speak to me. Let it pour down like rain, God.

Temptation isn’t a Sin, It’s an Opportunity to do Right

I was reading in the Bible about the temptatons that Jesus faced with Satan. It was for forty days and nights. I can’t imagine that!

Jesus was hit by the Trifect: alone, tired and hungry.

Satan is the most prolific liar ever. Replace his lies with the truth of God’s Word.

Jesus has taken care of all of our sins in one moment. The moment He died on the cross.

Jesus succeeds where we fail, but on our own we will fail where Jesus has already succeeded.

As we wait for the return of Jesus, Satan can have minor victories in our lives, but he will not have the ultimante victory.

Remember: Our soul needs fuel. You can either learn from the Word, or from the world.

Never let Satan put you up on his wall like a trophy. Fight the darkside with all your heart and pray for God’s help to do it.
