I know that this site is called, Signs of Hope, but I am going to rant for a little bit:

  1. President Biden say that inflation is going down. Well it is still 40% higher than normal.
  2. President Biden is allowing thousands upon thousands of illegal immigrants to cross our southern border.
  3. Food prices has skyrocketed.
  4. Heating bills are out of control.
  5. Biden will not let us do our own oil drilling, so the gas prices are incredible.

I have other rants, but I think that is enough for now.

Millions of people are fighting depression, anxiety, and have a pessimistic look on life. That is not good for our country.

What can we do to survive this delima?

  1. Take it one day at a time, and be strong.
  2. Be careful of what you buy.
  3. Hunker down for the next two years.
  4. Storms come, but they go away.
  5. Never let the darkside dictate to you what your life is like.
  6. Above all…never, ever give up!

We also need to remember that God is with us 24/7. He knows our problems, and will protect us during the storms of life.

Back in Salem, Oregon after eight days at the Oregon coast. It was very relaxing. beautiful sunsets, great food, and good company.

It’s back to reality! I was hoping the world would straighten up while I was gone, but just the opposite is happening. There are truly thousands of illegal immigrants crossing our southern border EVERY DAY! Many them were arrested on the spot for having drugs. Others were known terrorists. I can’t grasp the mental capabilities that our president has to think this is fine.

Have you also been frustrated with what is happing around you? I hear you! It is difficult, at best, to feel there is much hope in our world right now.

What we need to remember is that our God is in charge. It doesn’t seem right some of things He seems to be allowing right now, but He has a plan for us, and we need to trust Him.

There Needs to be Ways We Can Help Turning Our Country Around

I have decided to do some changes to this site to make it more interesting. Let me know in the comment section below what you think.

_______________________________________________________________________________________OOur country is heading in the wrong direction. Inflation is sky high. Gas prices are terrible. Thousands of illegal immigrants are crossing our southern border. Corruption is running wild in our government. The crime rates are out of sight.

It is hard not to be depressed when this is happening. So what can we do to try to overcome all of this:

  1. Write to your congressmen and women. Let them know you aren’t happy on how things are going.
  2. Support positive causes. I will not list them here. Check them out.
  3. Teach your children what is right and wrong. This will change the world.
  4. Be strong in your beliefs.

How you are you holding up? Is all this turmoil overcoming you? It is reassuring to me that God is with me. The comfort I feel is beyond definition. I know He is watching over me, and guiding me down the right paths. He is my fortress, my tower of strength, and my protector.

Need to Be Strong With the Frightening Things That’s Happening .

This month is Military appreciation month. As a veteran I am very proud to have served my country. I come from a military family. I had three uncles who fought in WWII. Two of them earned a Purple Heart. I was in the Army and was deployed to Korea. My son was a career soldier and retired as a Colonel.

The theme of the post on this sight are “Ways to survive in an unfriendly world.” I feel that we need to have the military to help us survive. I’m not a war monger that thinks we should fight in every skirmish in the world, but I do think we need to help those who are defenseless, and needing help.

That said, I want to check in with you. Are you struggling? Do the days seem too long for you? Would you rather sleep in bed all day rather than face the world?

There is much to think about as far as the reason you may be struggling:

  1. The pandemic.
  2. The Ukraine war.
  3. Inflation out of control.
  4. Our southern border over flowing with illegal immigrants.
  5. Gas prices through the roof.

I know there is more, but I am sure you get the picture. What can we do to overcome all of this stress and Chaos?

  1. Do not watch negative news.
  2. Keep you mind on positive things.
  3. Wear blinders that horses use to block out what is happen around you.
  4. READ THE BIBLE! All of God’s promises are there.
  5. Pray that God will protect you and give you peace.

Be strong for yourself and for those around you. Never give in to the darkside.
