  1. I have seen several of the john Wick movies. Looking forward to number 4.
  2. Putin has gained many enemies. I am sure his days are numbered.
  3. How shameful to treat dogs like this man has.
  4. Can’t comprehend living to 128. I am have trouble with my current age.

Thoughts…

  1. God’s heart is the most sensitive and tender of all. No act goes unnoticed
  2. Blessed are they who tenderly seek to comfort others.
  3. Love is the true means by which the world is enjoyed.
  4. If you surrender completely to the moments as they pass, you live those moments more richly.

Speaking about God…

  1. God has been very active in the world today. 5,000 people from India received Christ as their savior, and this is happening many places.
  2. Trying to make live in the world without God? How is that working for you?
  3. I am a blessed man. My wife and I are Christians, my three children are christians, and all my grandchildren are christians. God is good.
  4. Those who believe survive. Those who do not believe struggle mightily.

My Thoughts...

  1. I still can’t believe Putin thinks he can win the war in Ukraine. He has been defeated in so many areas of the country.
  2. The trial for Alex Burdaugh was impelling. Alex tried to lie his way out of conviction when he testified, but the Jury wasn’t having it. They convicted him in less than three hours.
  3. Still many new finds in the pyramids in Egypt. Most interesting.

Speaking of God…

  1. So many people expect God to take care of everything for them without asking. We need to tell God what we need.
  2. It seems hard to think the world is going in the right direction. Wars, floods, earthquakes, etc. With all that happening, it may be better to think about the end times, and not worry where the world is going.
  3. I can’t tell you how many times God has blessed me. The latest one is that my son had to have hip replacement surgery. It was a tough one. He had bone on bone, bone spurs, and arthritis in his hip all at once. It was a huge success. Thank you God.

  4. Russia has changed its plan to take over Ukraine, with the goal now to exhaust the country rather than conquer new territory.
  5. Heartbroken dogs wait on track track after family left them behind.

Ranting…

  1. Don Lemon should pack it up and move on. He has terrorized his fellow hosts and ranted many times in anger.
  2. So glad they are destroying the house where the Idaho murders took place. Who would want to live there after that happened.
  3. Ukraine has stood fast, and I am so proud of their heroics, and determination.
  4. Russia is realizing that their attempt to defeat Ukraine will not work. Now they are trying to exhaust them rather than to try to conquer new areas. Good luck with that Putin. They are much to strong to give in to you.
  5. The last news article breaks my heart. I am an animal lover. How could anyone leave their pet behind.

  1. President Biden gave a report on the shooting down of several UFO’s. I was more confused after he got done.
  2. Russia thinks they are winning the war, but far from it. They have lost over 140,000 soldiers, (So far)
  3. The Southern Border has become a disaster area. Thousand of illegal immigrants crossing the border every day. Four border guards have committed suicide.

Daily rants…

1.Why does it take so long to shoot down a Chinese balloon. The balloon went all the way across our country and close to many military bases. What is wrong with this picture?

2. President Biden is trying to tell us that inflation is slowing down. Check your grocery bill. Eggs are up 74%. Many other items are as well.

3. There is just way too much crime in our country. The DA’s are getting very leinute with the criminals. They get arrested and are out the same day.

Important thoughts…

  1. A loser sees a problem for every answer.
  2. A winner sees a green by every sand trap.
  3. A loser see two or three sand traps near every green.
  4. The winner always has a program.
  5. A loser always has an excuse.

Be a winner.

  1. God has no future. He is always there.

  3. God has no surprises. He knows everything.
  4. You are here , because God willed it.
  5. God alone is the creator.

I told you on Friday that I was going to change the format This is the first post using the new format. It certainly not the final change. I will be doing changes during the next few posts, so hang on.

Here is what I envision for the future:

  1. Current news…right off of the headlines,
  2. Daily thoughts…this is where I can gripe and complain.
  3. Important thoughts…This will be thoughts I have written down that I think you will like.
  4. Speaking about God…this will be an ongoing thing.

I had a wonderful time at my weekly coffee gathering today. There was a WWII Veteran there who is 98 years old. I had already interviewed him for my upcoming book, Signs of Hope for the Military: In and Out of the Trenches of Life.

The interview is full of near death experiences, and the freeing of two concentration camps. One was full of Jews, and the other English soldiers.

It is a fantastic interview that is a must read when the book comes out.

I will keep you posted here as to the progress of the book. You can also go to www.dougbolton.com. That is now just a military site that has up to date military news, and side stories.

I have been having pity parties lately. My health is not all that good. I am struggling with weak legs, arthritis in my hip, and total lack of energy.

How do I face each day?

  1. I thank God for the day. He is the one that gives me my air in my lungs every day.
  2. I realize that getting old isn’t for sissies, and face my storms head on.
  3. I read the Bible. All the comfort I need is found there.
  4. I do not worry about tomorrow. Jesus says, tomorrow has enough worries on its own.

Have you ever felt you were in the right place at the right time, only to find out you were in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Many of us have been there.

You say to yourself, “How did I get myself into this mess?” What just happened? I sure didn’t plan on this.

Bad opportunities always show up when your guard is down. Satan loves to surprise you and ambush you.

But that doesn’t mean you have to fall for the bad opportunities.

If you are fulfilled, and satisfied with your life. You are much less apt to fall for a bad opportunity.

Never let the darkside pull you down like a huge magnate.

Before you take the plunge into an opportunity take a long look at it through the peephole first.

When Going Gets Tough, The Tough Turn to God

I have been on a rollercoaster ride. I’m at the age when many physical things happen. They are painful. They are not life threatening at this point. However, the constant pain and suffering is not acceptable.

______________________________________________________________________________________

Now that I have been whining and trying to have a pity party, let’s move n in life.

______________________________________________________________________________________

Lie is not for sissies. There are trials everyday. We need to be patient, and strong. There are ways to overcome the darkside, and it all begins with turning to God.

God knows every hair on our head. He knows what we are going through. He wants the best for us. All we have to do is ask.

Prayer is a very powerful thing. I have seen it change lives many times.

  1. I had a grand nephew somehow live after the doctors said there is no chance he would make it. Even the doctors considered a miracle. He is now 15 years old and going strong.
  2. I had a friend in stage four lung cancer, and she is still live today, several years later.
  3. A friend lost her husband suddenly, and her only way to manage was to turn her live over to God. She is thriving now.

I could go on with many other answered prayers. They are never ending in my life.

Test it yourself. If you are overwhelmed with trials, Turn to God a pray for His intervention. He is listening.

It has been awhile since I posted. been struggling with the flu, hip pain and weakness. I am trying to get back to the routine of talking with you.

It can be very disheartening to have so many trials in ones life. It seems to be a regular thing for some of us. I am an optimist, so I have some thoughts on the grim outlook of life:

  1. Storms come, but storms go.
  2. Never give up.
  3. Always fight back against the darkside.
  4. The past is gone, live for today, because tomorrow is another day.
  5. Reach out to others who are struggling. It helps them AND you.

The new year is upon us. We need to look forward to a bright year full of hope. It only can happen when you believe that. Start out the new year with hope and courage.

Also know that God is with you. He knows your hurts. He knows your needs. pray to Him for your protection and love.
