Today I am going to share some quotes I have picked up over the years for you to ponder:

  1. What do I do if a problem comes to me? Nothing! I need to go to God and pray.
  2. Do I think more about myself, or do I think more about God?
  3. God has abundant blessings for us, but the power of Satan is against us.
  4. How much Time do I spend reading God’s Word. Not nearly enough.
  5. A tea cup sitting along a coast line can be filled with water when a wave comes in. But just think how much water there in the ocean. That is how much love God has for us.
  6. Flee the bad things, and seek the righteous ones.
  7. Not everyone in your church is pleasant.
  8. How has God worked in unseen ways in me? What work has He prepared me for?
  9. We need to reach out to those with afflictions to show them ways to rid themselves from them.
  10. What work does God want me to do? What excuses do I use to not do them?
  11. I love my children and my grandchildren, but they are loved much more by God.
  12. There are billions of ways to be wrong, but only one way to be right.
  13. God does not make robots, but we become robots because we program our minds to walk down the path that heads away from God.
  14. We need to set a day aside to worship God through prayers, devotions, and reading the Bible.
  15. God is everywhere. You can be with God when you fish, travel, lie in bed, but to worship Him we should be in His Holy House to worship Him with others.
  16. Pagans can be very religious, but not follow the true God.
  17. There is no such things as a metaphor about same sex marriage from Genesis to Revelations.
  18. In the olden times one goat is sacrificed, and the other is the “Scape Goat,” who is released into the desert.
  19. Satan loves to nip away at us until we are beaten down, and our faith is fading way.
  20. Every person has an assignment from God.

Back in Salem, Oregon after eight days at the Oregon coast. It was very relaxing. beautiful sunsets, great food, and good company.

It’s back to reality! I was hoping the world would straighten up while I was gone, but just the opposite is happening. There are truly thousands of illegal immigrants crossing our southern border EVERY DAY! Many them were arrested on the spot for having drugs. Others were known terrorists. I can’t grasp the mental capabilities that our president has to think this is fine.

Have you also been frustrated with what is happing around you? I hear you! It is difficult, at best, to feel there is much hope in our world right now.

What we need to remember is that our God is in charge. It doesn’t seem right some of things He seems to be allowing right now, but He has a plan for us, and we need to trust Him.

We Need to Find Ways To Relax and Regroup

I am at the Oregon coast. Spending a few days to try to relax. It’s working. Beautiful sunsets, and great restaurants.

It seems to me That this country I going in the wrong direction. Everything is off from where it should be, High inflation, gas, groceries, restaurant prices. Then there is the border crises, the war in Ukraine, and it goes on and on.

I know, it seems like I am whining, but I love my country. I am a veteran who served, and want what is best for our country. That isn’t happening right now.

I must be active, and share my dislike for what is going on. I need to write my congressmen and women. Never sit on your couch and allow the waves to come in over your head.

Always be strong in your beliefs. Honor God, because as we all know, He is in charge. Pray for His wisdom in your life. Seek His promises. It seems He is allowing too much pain, but in reality He has a plan for us, and we must be patient and wait.

Remodeling Can be disruptive to your life.

Where’s the milk? Out in the garage. Where’s the jam? Out in the garage. Where is the refrigerator? Out in the garage. The stove, and the dishwasher are out there too.

Yes, we are doing a major remodeling of our kitchen. They have torn up the old floor, and today they are starting to put in the new flooring. Then the den will get a remodel! So the TV will be gone, and all the furniture as well. The end product will be beautiful in the end.

Have you had your life disrupted by remolding? Are you trying to make you life better, but have had to move many things from your past to the garage?

It is very difficult to do, I agree, but in the end everything will be beautiful.

We all have time when things need to be changed. A divorce. A lost job. Too many bills. The list goes on and on.

Time to remodel your life. Put in new hope. Put in new freedoms. Pay off those bills. Regroup and remodel after that divorce.

It is very hard work, but the end results is a new you and happiness.

Has been busy the last few days. We had to move everything out of our kitchen, and den. I mean everything. Refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, TV and console, Had my family come over to move it all, and I am looking at a living room stacked high with extra furniture.

We are having hard wood floors being put in the kitchen area, and a new carpet in the den. It will look beautiful when it is all done, but then you have to put everything back!

Pretty hectic, but worth it. Have you had disruption come into your life. Did things happen you didn’t expect?

It happens to all of us. One day peace, the next day, chaos. We need to adjust and hang on for dear life. Thoughts on this:

  1. Storms come, but they leave eventually.
  2. Always be prepared for things to happen, because they will.
  3. Always know that God is there for you. He knows you problems. Pray for His protection and love.

President Biden Made a Speech that Divided Our Country.

Going to have lunch with a friend after I finish this post. Applebees, is having all you can eat boneless wings. We are going to see if we can rung them out of them. 🙂

Went to see a foot doctor today, for hammer toe. It is a painful curling of my big toe on my right foot. He gave me some ideas on how to help, plus going to an insert specialist to get insert put in to help.

I was very saddened by the speech President Biden gave the other day. It certainly wasn’t a speech to unite our country. Made me upset, and I am a democrat. He needs desperately to try to bring our country together not further apart.

________________________________________________________________________________________ No matter what you party connection is we need to stop this horrible division our country is in, and try to work out our differences.

How are you doing? Had life stepped on your feet and given you pain like I have? It is tough to be positive in our world today. Inflation, Border crises, food prices. Gas prices, and the list goes on.

I think we need to regroup and realize that God is in charge. He knows what is going on. He is not happy, but He allows us to make up our own decisions and most of then aren’t good right now.

My Pastor yesterday told us the end times are coming and we need not worry if we are Christians. I find comfort in that.

If you are not a Christian turn you life over to God right now and find peace.

A friend saw the title of this post on a T-shirt. I think I want one.

My Pastor started a new series this Sunday called, the end times. I thought, this could depressing. I was totally wrong.

The end times will end up being a wonderful time if you are a Christian. Think on this:

Everyone who believes will be pulled up into heaven all at once during the rapture. There will be no pain or agony during this moment.

Grace came to you through Jesus dying on the cross. It will come again during the rapture.

If you are not sure if you will be sent during the rapture, do the following:

  1. Repent. Ask God to forgive you.
  2. Return to fellowship at your church, there is so much support for you there.
  3. Remember…no matter how old you are, God is not through with you yet.

Jesus came in as the lamb and he will come back as a lion.

Never think you are beyond being accepted during the rapture. God loves you as you are. Just confess your sins and enjoy the ride.

Never Let Age Stop You From Reaching Your Dreams

Being an author has been a thrill for me. My first book received a national award from the Reader’s Favorite Awards.

I am now working on my second book called, Signs of Hope for the Military: In and Out of the trenches of Life. It is almost finished and will come out by Christmas.

Sounds peachy keen right? Well, I have found that it is hard work and stressful. Not that I don’t enjoy writing. I love it, but there are other things I have to do like sell the book. I have been self publishing, which means it is all up to me to the marketing, promotions, signings, etc.

I am 83 years old and now am wondering if I have the stamina to go on with the big push for my second book.

Here is my feelings on that:

  1. Your never too old to start something.
  2. Use your age to be a expert on things people want to know about.
  3. Take time to do what ever project you are working on. Rushing has been bad news for me.
  4. Enjoy what you are doing. Don’t do it thinking you have to do it.

The most important thing to remember is that God is with you. He knows about your dreams. He knows what you are capable of. He will guide you down your path, or He will stop you if He thinks it is too much for you.

Be Strong Through the Overwhelming Storms of Your Life

I lost a couple of battles, but won the war. I am now clear of COVID-19.

I had some scars from it. I was told that I have lost hearing in my left ear. The doctor thinks it may come out of that though.

I had a horrible iron reading from a blood test I took. The high is not supposed to be over 300, mine is 752. That could cause huge damage to my liver. I did an ultra sound yesterday and I am OK for now.

Some wonderful news is that I had A-fib for years, but I had testing this week and the girl said I was back in regular beat since July 24th.

The COVID virus can cause some serious side effects, but can help you on occasion.

Have you had some struggles with you health? Have you had a doctor tell you some bad news?

There are many people like that.

So what can we do to counter attack all of this?

  1. 99% of what we worry about never happens. Give the rest to God.
  2. Be strong and help others who are going through the same things.
  3. Know that God is with you 24/7.
  4. Persevere through the storms of life.

I know it can be hard at times. I have been there, but your strong example to others will go a long way in their lives.

Be the helper.

Be the supporter.

Be the calmer.

We Don’t Talk About Sin, But Maybe We Should

Yes, we do not talk about sin. It is hard to tell someone they are sinning. It is hard to hear from someone that you are sinning.

However, we need to confront those who have wavered. We are all tempted. So is a temptation a sin? No, only if you give into the temptation. Jesus, was tempted.

Share with others that you think need help, and be ready to bear your own sins.

God gives us the power and confidence to face others who are sinning. God also wakes us up to others who tell us we are sinning.

Three things we need to remember:

  1. We should always walk in the spirit.
  2. We are accountable to each other.
  3. We are accountable to God.

Go and sin no more is what Jesus told the woman. Hear Him speak to you in the same way.
